The sunny weather take a toll on your health and moreover on your skin and hair. You might have realized that your arms and legs are probably not worth to face the public. Hence you need to take extra caution during summer and invest time in taking care of your body as a whole. The summer regimen has three parts focuses mainly on pampering and protecting your skin.

Here are few basics that must be done to take care of your skin for the sunny months:

1. EXFOLIATE

Your smooth, silky skin is hiding under the tan, dust and dirt. You simply need to scrub its surface using exfoliants. Exfoliating removes all the extra-dry patches formed on your elbow and knees. You can also try body mask as it helps to take out all the skin impurities. Masks do take more time but are worth the extra effort.

2. HAIR REMOVAL

You must shun off all the extra unwanted hair. Whatever you prefer be it depilatories, razors or home waxing kits, the motto this summer is easy also for sensitive skin.

3. HAVE SANDAL READY FEET:

Feet are the most abused body part as they do the most of walking and running in your daily life. Scrub your feet to get rid of the dry spots using a pumice stone and dab on generous amount of moisturizer. Your feet doesn’t need moisturizing only in winters but summers also demand moisturizing as your skin cannot sustain the level of hydration levels on its own.

4. PROTECT

You must have heard it several number of times about protecting your skin from the sun. Protecting your skin from sun is the best investment done to protect your skin’s health. Remember that you don’t wear sunscreen as frequently as you know. Recent day’s sunscreens are better and more convenient, and more resistant to sweat and water with loads of antioxidants to boost your skin’s natural capabilities. Apply sunscreen to your entire body just 30 minutes before stepping out in the sun. Apply sunscreens in generous amount to cover your skin properly.  Use sunscreens with al least SPF (Sun Protection Formula) of 15. Sunscreens with SPF 30 provide protection as well as 95 percent and also allow you to stay in the sun for longer duration. It is true that your skin needs to be protected from the UVA rays that cause premature aging of the skin.
